Easter Festivities

The Easter season was a lot more fun with Dulce this year since she could do and understand more.  Last year it was basically a Easter egg hunt with her cousin Niko.  All of Dulce's eggs had one marshmallow in them.

Easter last year (2014)

Easter last year (2013) She also really liked finding dandelions in addition to Easter eggs

This year, Dulce and I made some little nest treats.  She likes cooking with me and is really good at putting stuff in the mixing bowl and mixing and taste testing ;)

We also went to an Easter egg hunt that the stake put on, and another one where there were princesses and other characters present!  Dulce wasn't interested in taking pictures with the princesses, though she is into princess now, and she was openly afraid of Spiderman and the Easter Bunny.  Both of those Easter egg hunts were more like free for alls, no hunting involved.

We also did an Easter egg hunt just for Dulce in the grass part surrounding our apartment building.  It was kinda a flop because Mario apparently unknowingly put out eggs of the which 50% didn't have any candy or toys in them... Dulce still looked darling though.  Even if her skirt was falling off.  Little hipless wonder.

That was a tricky egg to get.

We've also focused some of our Family Home Evening's on Christ and His resurrection and she gets that we celebrate Easter because "Jesucristo vivio otra vez."  She especially liked how the little Mary figure I made had a sad face on one side because she didn't find Christ in the tomb, but then has a happy face on the other side because He finds her and tells her that He lives again.

A big part of our Easter weekend was the fact that my parents came in town and it was General Conference!  But I'll cover that in a separate post.
