How has it already been one month!? That may be the fastest month of my life! Partly because I love my little newborn so much and partly because the days and nights just all kind of blend together sometime if you know what I mean ;)

Aw, newly-washed, fuzzy hair on the left :)
All in all, things have been much easier during this first month than they were with Dulce. I think for three reasons:
1 - Experience. Things are just easier the second time around.
2 - Mario. Mario was super helpful with Dulce, but I didn't want him to have to help at night since he was in school. But now that he just has a normal 9-5 job, I don't feel bad about asking. He is so, so patient (with emotional me and with Bela and Dulce.) He takes care of Dulce so I can go to bed as early as 6 (if Bela does) and never says no when I ask for help in the wee hours of the morning.
3 - Bela just cries less. Dulce stressed me out because she cried a looootttt. But Bela, I mean, she has her moments, but I feel like she cries the same amount as any other newborn.

Thanks for the darling hat, abuela!
After one week, she had already gotten back to her birth weight, plus three ounces. At two weeks, she was 10 ounces above birth weight. (For those of you who haven't had kids, babies lose some weight after they're born and doctors say they normally gain it back by two weeks after.) I don't know how much she weighs now, but she's already outgrown two of my favorite little outfits (the ones that are button-up footies and have hand coverings- including the one below).

My little sleeping angel.
A few little random things:
She sleeps on her stomach.
She loves being outside and looking around at the sky mostly I think.
She calms down when I pick her up and rub my cheek on hers.
I went wheat and dairy free (two things that babies are most often allergic to) and it's really helped her be less fussy during the day. She's much less fussy than Dulce was which I think has helped me really enjoy this first month of her life more. If any of you have things you like to eat (besides meat, fruits & veggies, nuts, and candy) that are wheat and dairy free, let me know!

She's tiny but she's tough!
Dulce has grown up a ton in the last month. She helps a lot and is very patient. She is really into pretending we are people from Despicable Me (we just went to see the minions movie, so that's probably why). Mario's Gru, I'm Edith, Dulce is Margo, and Bela is Agnes haha. She is really good about remembering to stay in character. She also likes to speak English, whereas before we only spoke Spanish. She still likes Peppa Pig a lot too. She likes to play store (mostly only with Mario though. I guess he's a much better cashier than I am). And she always wants to help make dinner. From like 9 am she's asking the whole day if she can help me make dinner :)

Sometimes she likes taking pictures!
One cute little story about Dulce is we were getting ready to go for a walk and it was taking forever because she kept wanting to do one other thing first, and finally we left and then when we started walking I said I was sorry for being impatient and asked her "me perdonas?" (Do you forgive me?) And she said "Si, como en las escrituras." (Yes, like in the scriptures.) I don't remember which story we read about forgiveness, but it made me feel happy that she remembered and that she was applying what she learned!

What a good big sister!

Mario is going to be taking some one-month pictures of Bela when he gets home from work, but who knows when I'll get those up ;)
